Vehicle recalls — NHTSA
Open vehicle recall campaigns come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's recall database, the official U.S. source for vehicle safety recalls.
Drug, food & medical device recalls — FDA openFDA
Recall enforcement reports for drugs, food, and medical devices are published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and served through the openFDA API.
Child seat & tire recalls — NHTSA via U.S. DOT open data
Child safety seat and tire recall records come from NHTSA's Office of Defects Investigation data, published as dataset 6axg-epim on the U.S. Department of Transportation's open data portal.
Vehicle history reports — coming in phase 2
Full history reports (title brands, accidents, odometer, liens) will use data from the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) via an approved NMVTIS data provider. Not offered yet.
