What we collect

• Things you type into our tools — a VIN for the vehicle decode, vehicle details for the vehicle recall check, or a medication, food, medical device, or product name for the other recall checks. We use these only to return your results.
• Answers you give on our checklists and quizzes — for example, on the Medicare plan check, your age range and the coverage topics you're interested in.
• Email addresses you provide — only if you opt in, to send your results summary, recall alerts, product launch notifications, and follow-ups for the tool you used.
• A phone number, if you choose to give one — only on the Medicare plan check, and only if you also check the consent box there, so a licensed insurance agent can call or text you about plan options as described on that page.
• Basic technical data — anonymized, for keeping the site fast and working.

What we don't do

We don't sell your personal information. We don't share your email with third parties except the email service that sends our messages (MailerLite), which processes it only to deliver them.

Email consent

We use confirmed (double) opt-in: after you enter your email, you must click the confirmation link before we send anything beyond that confirmation. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate.

Cookies

We don't use advertising cookies. We set one first-party cookie (vf_v) that remembers which version of a page you saw, so our A/B test stays consistent, and we use browser session storage to remember what you entered as you move between pages — that's it.
